Salvatore Emanuel Borrelli

Has studied under the guidance of Paola Besutti at the Higher Institute of Music Studies Vecchi-Tonelli of Modena, obtaining the old system Diploma/Bachelor and afterwards, with Alessandro Ferrari, the two-year second-level Diploma/Master with full marks and honors at the Music Studies Institute A. Peri of Reggio Emilia. He has been member of the "Orchestra Nazionale Consevatori Italiana" with which he performed on prestigious occasions and places including the concert at the Senate Chamber, the "Ravello Festival", "Premio Nzionale delle Arti" and "Teatro Petruzzelli" in Bari, performing with leading figures such as Alexander Lonquich and Giovanni Sollima. Founding member of the strings group "Kelis Ensemble", he took part to the season of "FAR" in Reggio Emilia, "Onde Sonore" at Pavarotti Theatre in Modena, "Il Suono Giovane" at the museum of Casa Martelli in Florence, and to "Onde Musicali sul Lago d'Iseo". He collaborated with the Filarmonica dell'Opera Italiana of Parma and the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese.


Parallel to his violin studies, he has always cultivated the passion and studies of the viola, a passion that allowed him to take different roles in various chamber music formations. Since 2019 he has been the Violist of "Quartetto Leonardo" taking part to different festivals "Virtuoso e Belcanto festival" in lucca, "Festival internazionale delle Cinque Terre", "Trame Sonore" international chamber music festival, "Festival Verdi" at Teatro Regio di Parma, "Ravenna Festival", "XXVII Festival del Quartetto d’archi" at the "Pieve di Gropina", "Armonie della Sera" and "Autunno Musicale". In 2021 the Italian National Association of the Critics has awarded the Quartet with "Premio Farulli" which is one of "Premio Franco Abbiati" prizes. Now he is attending at the Universität der Künste in Berlin the Chamber Music Master with the Artemis Quartet. At the same time he is studying Viola under the guidance of William Coleman.
